Surplus is a comprehensive banking application designed to help you manage your finances with ease. It tracks your financial expenses, providing you with clear insights into your spending habits and helping you identify areas where you can save. In addition to expense tracking, Surplus offers features that allow you to earn and use rewards for shopping, making it easier to save money while you spend. With its user-friendly interface and powerful tools, Surplus aims to streamline your financial management and enhance your shopping experience, all in one convenient app.
My Role
As the Product Designer, I was responsible for the redesign of the Surplus app and drove it from initial concept to final approval on the Google Play Store. My role focused on building a comprehensive design system that ensured a cohesive and efficient experience across the entire app. To give the app a competitive edge, I conducted in-depth market research on similar financial apps, using those insights to inform my design choices. In addition to the app, I also designed its companion website, ensuring a seamless and unified user experience. My work ultimately led to a successful launch and approval on the Google Play Store.
